Patron: Waiter!


Waiter: Hi, my name is Bill, and I'll be your Support Waiter. What seems to be the problem?


Patron: There's a fly in my soup!


Waiter: Try again, maybe the fly won't be there this time.


Patron: No, it's still there.


Waiter: Maybe it's the way you're using the soup; try eating it with a fork instead.


Patron: Even when I use the fork, the fly is still there.


Waiter: Maybe the soup is incompatible with the bowl; what kind of bowl are you using?


Patron: A SOUP bowl!


Waiter: Hmmm, that should work. Maybe it's a configuration problem; how was the bowl set up?


Patron: You brought it to me on a saucer; what has that to do with the fly in my soup?!


Waiter: Can you remember everything you did before you noticed the fly in your soup?


Patron: I sat down and ordered the Soup of the Day!


Waiter: Have you considered upgrading to the latest Soup of the Day?


Patron: You have more than one Soup of the Day each day?


Waiter: Yes, the Soup of the Day is changed every hour.


Patron: Well, what is the Soup of the Day now?


Waiter: The current Soup of the Day is tomato.


Patron: Fine. Bring me the tomato soup, and the check. I'm running late now.


[Waiter leaves and returns with another bowl of soup and the check]


Waiter: Here you are, Sir. The soup and your check.


Patron: This is potato soup.


Waiter: Yes, the tomato soup wasn't ready yet.


Patron: Well, I'm so hungry now, I'll eat anything.


[The waiter leaves.]


Patron: Waiter! There's a gnat in my soup!

History

Liferay was created in 2000 by Chief Software Architect Brian Chan to provide an enterprise portal solution for non-profit organizations.^[1] In 2006, the company was incorporated under the name Liferay, Inc., formalized its Germany subsidiary Liferay GmbH. In 2007, the company opened a new Asian headquarters in Dalian, China and the Spanish subsidiary Liferay SL. In March 2009, the company opened a new office in Bangalore, India.

The company's enterprise portal product has been acknowledged by several notable organizations. It was recognized by EContent magazine in its "EContent 100" list of industry leaders ^[2][3] and in 2007, InfoWorld named it a "Technology of the Year."^[4] In July 2007, they announced a partnership with ICEsoft Technologies for developing Ajax technology for their enterprise portal software ^[5]. In January 2008, the company hired the lead engineer for jQuery UI, to exclusively work full-time on the JavaScript library.^[6] Gartner recognised Liferay as visionary leader in a September 2008 Magic Quadrant for Horizontal Portal Products.^[7]

Sun Microsystems and Liferay signed a technology-sharing agreement during May 2008. ^[8]. Sun Microsystems has rebranded the offering GlassFish Web Space Server. ZDNET.UK further describes the relationship in May 2008 article Sun and Liferay launch web-presentation platform. ^[9]

In October 2009 Liferay announced a technology partnership with IT Mill Ltd., provider of the Vaadin user interface library, to bundle it with future Liferay releases. ^[10]

today i have a presentation for my japan language. i am very satisfied with all the scene that i am doing. i am really happy because one of the scene that we make, we have 4 pieces of cake that we buy. that scene is to celebrate a friend birthday and that person is me. hehehe. cake wa oishi desu. anyway i am having fun leaning this language because i am a big fan of anime. that why i take subject. my exam is near so i want to wish all my friend a good luck for the exam and have a nice long vacation after final exam.bye......
